On Sat 4th May, Youth Learning Network held a fundraising event for it’s Heritage Trip to Ghana taking place later in the year.
The day saw past students attending to discuss their experiences on previous trips and the positive impact the trip had on them. There were also discussions from Sister Tina Pokuah (5Five Girls Project) and Sister Naomi Thelwell (Advance in West London).
Victoria Olisa (Southwark Council Councillor) also attended and spoke to parents and students at the event. The keynote speaker of the event was Brother Minister Abdul Hakeem Muhammed the European Regional Representative from the Nation of Islam.
The Philip Garner award was presented for achievements in Science.
